Rob Lokinger
Quick access to meaningful application-related information is a critical enabler for high performing support and development teams. However, identifying the right knowledge “domains” and hierarchical knowledge structure is not always obvious. In this half hour session with Rob Lokinger, we will review some key principles to consider for enabling better application knowledge management in your IT organization.
IT Cost Reduction
Ed Nemes
IT departments must find balance in order to be successful. On one side is the constant need for cost reduction and on the other side is the need to deliver consistent value to the business.
Between 20 and 25% of IT costs relate to maintaining existing applications. Opportunities exist for material costs reductions in this area of IT. For business with revenue of $1 billion to $10 billion dollars, annual hard dollar savings of $2 million to $20 million are achievable. The seminar will demonstrate how to achieve these savings.
